Known as the “Stylist to the Stars,” Tim Bitici has been in the fashion industry for over ten years and has made a truly remarkable name for himself. He has styled numerous celebrities, commercial photo shoots, advertising campaigns and editorials. He appeared in Oprah’s Favorite Things Christmas Issue as the top editor styling a ten page fashion story.
The fashion industry relies on Tim Bitici for his classic, chic, fresh iconic images that are styled – and never over-styled – to perfection. What makes his fashion and style genius apparent, is his ability to maintain brand identity through the lens of his own style sense. Tim lends his expertise to countless commercial photo shoots with subjects that vary in everything from Bridal, to Plus-Size.
When asked to describe himself, he answered in three words: Classic. Simple. Edgy. And this is exactly the spirit he exemplifies in his work with Vanity Fair Italy, L’Officiel, Glamour Magazine, O Magazine and many others. As fashion editor to these magazines, he has collaborated with such famed photographers as Ben Watts, Yu Tsai, Kelly Klein, Stewart Shining, Sebastian Kim and Dan Martensen.
Tim Bitici’s love for fashion grabbed him at an early age. Even at the age of 14, Tim knew that fashion would be his life, his love, and his life-long passion. While attending college at Pace University, he interned at Vanity Fair and Glamour Magazines, getting his fashion foot in the door. Now that his career has soared, he counts overseas editorial jobs among his favorite because he loves to travel with an entire crew all with one mission in mind - to create beauty.
Some of Tim Bitici’s most amazing shoots came during inclement weather, but, he reasons that a beautiful model should have an equally beautiful, if not turbulent, backdrop. He has shot in hurricanes in Hawaii and monsoons in Mexico. Because of the expertise of Tim and his crew, they always made it work, and created the beauty they knew they could.
Tim’s advice to up and coming stylists would be to expect a difficult road in the beginning. The stylist’s life is not always glamorous, despite how it might appear. However, if you’ve got the talent, and persistence, the best thing to do is assist, assist and assist some more, because there is so much to learn from working with a well-known stylist.
