For over a decade, Tim Bitici’s sense of style has been unparalleled in the fashion industry. He started as a fashion editor for Glamour Magazine, and today is known as one of the leading stylists of this era. But Tim Bitici doesn’t just have a passion for fashion, he’s also profusely generous. Every March, Tim raises money for multiple sclerosis. He raised $22,000 just on his own in 2013.
In the Hamptons, Tim is on the board of ACRIA – an acronym for AIDS Community Research Initiative of America. Every July he raises money for AIDS and ACRIA’s mission. His father owned a world-famous restaurant in Greenwich Village called the Minetta Tavern from the 1970’s to the 1990’s. His father has since changed locations and owns Fiorino Ristorante located in Summit, NJ. Every year, Tim throws an event at his father’s restaurant to help raise money for breast cancer.
Giving back to the community is important to Tim Bitici. His inspiration lies within people, cities, flea markets, even old movies. Through his styling career, he creates a more perfect image of what real life is, and his charity is another avenue for him to help foster a more perfect world for everyone. But people aren’t Tim Bitici’s only focus; he also donates his time to Animal Haven in New York City. He walks the dogs and helps find them shelters, and also takes them into his home when they need foster care.
When Tim isn’t holding charitable events or working as a “fashion guru” or “stylist to the stars,” he loves being at his house in Vermont to ski, especially around the holidays. His love of the outdoors is apparent in his chosen hobbies which include hiking, running and even cliff diving. But when he’s not feeling quite so adventurous or risky, he enjoys painting in his barn studio at his Vermont residence.
Tim Bitici’s passion and talent lie in making the world better. Whether it’s through the lens of a camera, or through money raised to help those in need, he takes his passion seriously. So seriously, in fact, some of his editorial work has been formatted museum-style, and exhibited for several months at a time at the Hotel Bourg Tibourg in Paris, and at the SoHo Grand Hotel in New York.
